Frequently Asked Questions

How much is my case worth?

The value of a case cannot be determined until your injuries are stabilized. We must be able to determine your total medical bills, lost wages and other expenses, and we need to obtain a final opinion regarding future problems from your doctors. We have handled hundreds of personal injury cases and have successfully collected many millions of dollars in settlements and benefits for our clients. We always strive to recover the full value of each claim.

How are legal fees determined?

Lawyers customarily handle personal injury cases on contingent basis. In other words, unless we win your case and until we collect, you owe no fees whatsoever. Our fees are a percentage of the recovery and are computed before deduction for expenses. Ethical rules require that clients are ultimately responsible for the expenses regardless of outcome.

Why should I have an attorney for my case?

An untrained individual cannot effectively represent themselves. Insurance companies hire experienced claims adjusters and attorneys to defeat or diminish your claim. Get an attorney even if you’re confident the other side wants to settle. In numerous cases, we have collected 5, 10 or 20 times more than what was offered by the insurance company before we took over the case.

What damages am I entitled to collect?

As a general rule, the following are damages that one may be able to collect:
  1. Past and Future Medical Bills
  2. Past and Future Lost Wages
  3. Past and Future Pain and Suffering
  4. Permanent Injury/Disability
  5. Permanent Disfigurements/scars
  6. Mental Trauma/Psychological Injuries
  7. Loss of Earning Capacity
How long does it take?

Every case is different. It depends on how long you continue to treat with doctors. Sometimes it takes a long time for injuries to be discovered and corrected. We never recommend early settlement for that reason. We are proud of the timely manner in which we are able to conclude claims once it is appropriate to do so.

How are legal fees determined?

Lawyers customarily handle personal injury cases on a contingent basis. In other words, unless we win your case and we collect, you owe no fees whatsoever. Our fees are a percentage of the recovery, and we are competitive with other law firms. Generally, fees are computed before deduction of costs. Ethical rules require that clients are ultimately resonsible for the expenses regardless of outcome. In most cases our law firm advances all costs, however.

Each case is different. We will help you determine what you should be legally entitled to collect.
